Samsung has finally kicked off the rollout of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Note II. For the time being, the update is only available at Telstra but other carriers may offer the upgrade as well.

According to AusDroid, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy Note II has around 950MB in size and is pushed OTA (over the air) at Telstra.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling if downloading the update via Telstra’s network will count against one’s data plan, which is why we recommend Galaxy Note II users to download it via Wi-Fi.

The official changelog confirms the update brings compatibility with Samsung Galaxy Gear and improved performance (Bluetooth, Multimedia, Graphics, etc.).

In addition, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean adds KNOX support, improved UI and stability and other security enhancements. We expect Vodafone and Optus to start the rollout of the update in the coming days, so stay tuned for more info on this one.
