Good news for Telegram Messenger users on Windows Phone, as the application has just received a much-needed update that fixes some critical bugs.

Relatively new in the instant messenger market, the Windows Phone version of Telegram Messenger is still in beta, which is why these issues are somewhat normal for a product still in development.

The good news is that the developer is working actively to fix any bugs and issues that might compromise user overall experience. That being said, the update bumps Telegram Messenger application to version 0.1.2.4, indicating this is just a minor update, so don’t expect any major features.

In fact, the official changelog mentions that this particular update addresses some bugs with profile pictures and photos. But this is not all. Developers also confirmed that the latest version of Telegram Messenger should bring support for documents on Windows Phone 8.

Those who already have the application installed on their devices can check for the update, while new users can now download Telegram Messenger Beta for Windows Phone 0.1.2.4 for free via Windows Phone Store.

Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up (including Windows Phone 8.1).
