14 DAY TRIAL // Wireless carrier T-Mobile is getting ready for the release of a software update for the Nokia Lumia 521 smartphone on its network, to provide users with some new features.
According to a recent post on T-Mobile’s support website, the update will arrive on devices starting with May 20 as version 1030.6409.1316.0016, and will enable Wi-Fi Calling capabilities on the smartphone. The update will be of around 150 MB in size.
“On May 20, a software update to Software version 1030.6409.1316.0016 will be released for the Nokia Lumia 521. The software update, which will be available by Over The Air (OTA), will add Wi-Fi calling,” T-Mobile explains in the aforementioned post.
As WPCentral notes, the addition of the new capabilities should make the Lumia 521 an even more appealing device, given its low price tag.
