Fortunately, developers have managed to find a solution for this bug and have updated the game with a fix. Those who already have Star Wars: Tiny Death Star installed on their Windows Phone devices should check out the Windows Phone Store for the latest version.
According to the official changelog, this update fixes a problem with the stores not producing coins while the game is closed or minimized. Aside from this fix, no other features or improvements have been provided.
