Publisher and developer of games Square Enix has recently re-released the highly-acclaimed Dragon Quest IV JRPG title for Android devices. The game was launched for the first time back in 1990 and is now available on PSone, Nintendo DS, and iOS.

Dragon Quest IV is the first installment in the Zenithian series, which comprises three parts. The game focuses on multiple characters and is split in chapters. Each chapter will allow players to impersonate other characters, but the story will have a common ground.

Although the game was originally available only in Japanese, the mobile version features in-game text in English. In fact, this is the only language available for Dragon Quest IV for Android.

“Given the title's immense success on other platforms, we knew that re-releasing it for mobile devices was inevitable. Our fans can now re-live this compelling tale in one standalone package with 40-plus hours of battles, mysteries and a delightful ensemble of characters,” said Noriyoshi Fujimoto, producer of the mobile version.

You can now download Dragon Quest IV for Android for £10.49 / €13.99 / $14.99 via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up. Keep in mind that Dragon Quest IV is not compatible with ART, so don’t run it under this compiler.
