Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G LTE got held up at customs a few weeks back, which caused delays in the phone’s launch.

As of May 24th, the wireless carrier started sending the device to those who pre-ordered it, and some have already received it.

Apparently, the smartphone did not come to users alone. Sprint and HTC also attached a free case to it, in an attempt to make up for the delay.

The wireless carrier has already confirmed that these cases will be delivered to all those who pre-ordered the handset, but also said that users wouldn’t be able to exchange the accessory with another one.

"HTC and Sprint want to thank you for your patience as we know you have been anticipating the arrival of your new HTC Evo 4G LTE. Please accept this phone accessory as a small token of our appreciation and thanks," a letter sent to those who reserved the HTC EVO 4G LTE reads.
