Good news for Xperia phone owners as Sony plans to add even more features to these devices. Next on the list seems to be support for DualShock 3 controller for Xperia smartphones.

The folks over at XperiaBlog report that the new feature has been recently spotted inside the Sony Xperia SP, which is expected to arrive on the market in the coming weeks.

The smartphone seems to have native DualShock 3 controller support, which can be activated from Settings / Xperia / DualShock 3 wireless controller option.

However, those who wish to take advantage of this feature will have to connect the controller to their phones via USB (on-the-go) cable.

As soon as the connection is established, they can remove the cable from the phone as the controller will remain connected via Bluetooth.

More details on how to connect a DualShock 3 controller to an Xperia smartphone are available in the short video above. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
