This year, Sony made official a great deal of handsets running under Google’s Android operating system, including a new flagship phone, the Xperia S.

Apparently, the company is already working on the next-generation Android devices, and one of them should arrive on shelves as the successor this high-end smartphone.

Dubbed Xperia SL, the phone has been spotted online already, on the Indonesian site Postel, with the model number LT26ii attached to it.

It seems that the device might have already exited the development phase, and all that it remains to be seen is how fast Sony will be able to start the manufacturing process and bring it to the market.

According to Xperia Blog, the phone might be launched with Ice Cream Sandwich on board, and there’s a great chance that it will sport a similar design with Xperia S, though with upgraded hardware specifications.
