The overheating issues inside Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset are well known and handset makers that included the CPU inside its flagship smartphones had to deliver multiple software updates to fix it.

HTC One M9 was among the first to be affected by this issue, but the Taiwanese handsets maker released a software update before the smartphone went on sale, which apparently successfully addressed the problem.

Since its launch in Japan and other countries, both Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ have been plagued by this issue. Sony confirmed it has acknowledged the problem and it will deliver an update sometime this summer.

Well, it looks like a new software update is now available for Sony Xperia Z3+. The new firmware version 28.0.A.7.24 has been recently certified at PTCRB, XperiaBlog reports.

Unfortunately, there's no telling whether or not this is the software update that should fix the overheating issues inside Xperia Z3+.

It's also worth mentioning that the update is available for Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet as well, which means it's a common issue to these two devices that this update should address.

We will keep an eye out for any additional details on the matter, so stay tuned for more info on Xperia Z3+'s overheating issues.
