Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile is gearing up for the launch of its latest flagship smartphone out there in more markets around the world, including China, and it seems that the handset has already received the necessary certification in the country.

The phone, none other than the Sony Xperia Z2, has emerged at the Chinese certification forum TENAA with model number L50t attached to it, as well as with support for TD-LTE bands.

As XperiaBlog notes, this means that the mobile phone might soon arrive on shelves at wireless carrier China Telecom in the country.

At the same time, the phone is expected to be released in the country in a 3G version as well, with model number L50w attached, most probably set to make an appearance on China Unicom’s network.

Xperia Z2 was made official last month during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, with a large 5.2-inch full HD touchscreen display and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor inside.

The smartphone also features 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, with support for 4K video recording. Sony has unveiled the smartphone with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system loaded on top right from the start.
