The feature was extracted from a recent update for the NTT DoCoMo's model

Owners of Xperia Z1 smartphones out there can now download a White Balance port for their smartphones, so as to get rid of the yellow tint or hue that the phone’s display has been showing.

The White Balance feature was supposed to be included in the Xperia Z1 from the beginning, but it never was, as XperiaBlog notes. In fact, it seems that it didn't come with the newly released Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the device either.

However, the feature was packed in the latest software update that Japanese mobile phone carrier NTT DoCoMo has started to push to its Xperia Z1 (SO-01F) model.

Someone over at XDA-Developers extracted it from this update, packed it in a flashable .zip file, and made it available for download for all owners of the global Xperia Z1 (C69XX) out there.
