Made official back in March, Sony Xperia sola has yet to make its debut on the market. In this regard, it appears that Australia will be among the first countries to get the Android phones.

The Xperia sola is currently available for pre-order via Havery Norman retailer for $499 AUD, which is $50 AUD more expensive than Mobicity’s offer.

According to Ausdroid, the Xperia sola is expected to go live by the end of the month, though we don’t have an exact release date available yet.

The smartphone will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, but Sony already confirmed it would deploy an Ice Cream Sandwich update in Q2 2012.

Sony Xperia sola’s main selling point is the 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display featuring Floating touch technology.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with a 1 GHz dual-core processor and packs 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot.
