A new Android-based Xperia set to arrive on shelves in Q2

Today, Sony mobile made official two new smartphones running under Google’s Android operating system, including the Xperia SP, which is said to be able to provide an appealing viewing and imaging experience on the go at an affordable price.

Following the smartphone’s official announcement, Sony also published a video promo for the device, so as to offer a closer look at what new features are en route to users in the second quarter of the year.

Furthermore, the company made available a gallery of press photos with the device, while also fully detailing its specs and capabilities.

The 1.7GHz dual-core smartphone features a 4.6-inch screen, an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, 1GB or RAM, 8GB of internal memory, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean platform loaded on top.
