The application is only compatible with Sony Xperia devices

Sony has just released another application from its core list of apps included in the Xperia smartphones in Google Play Store, the Xperia Keyboard. This is the default keyboard for all Xperia smartphones running Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and up.

Keep in mind that it’s only compatible with Sony Xperia smartphones that are powered by KitKat 4.4.2, so if you own another device and search for it on Google Play Store, it will not show.

According to Sony, the application supports all languages with a few exceptions, like Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The Japanese handset maker claims that Xperia Keyboard “offers a superior swiping experience as well as traditional tapping,” but it’s up to each and every one to decide which virtual keyboard is better.

Xperia Keyboard is said to be able to adapt to the user’s writing style, thus learning specific words that are often typed, and can even be further personalized from Gmail, Facebook and Twitter.

Assuming that you own a compatible Sony Xperia smartphone, you can now download Xperia Keyboard for Android 6.4.A.0.6 for free via Google Play store.

Keep in mind that this is a newer version of the application than the one included in Sony’s KitKat build for its Xperia devices, so you may want to upgrade to this one.
