Sony quietly introduced the Xperia E4 but failed to offer proper details on specs, price and availability. It was a bit of a botched launch, where the Japanese company mixed things up and said that the smartphone came with KitKat but then claimed that it would be powered by Lollipop.

Fortunately, at least one authorized retailer has shed light on all these aspects and even allows those interested to pre-order the Xperia E4.

Clove UK has said that the smartphone should arrive in stock later in March, but those who want it can pre-order the Xperia E4 for £100 (€135/$155) beginning today.

Keep in mind thought that the official price and availability of the Xperia E4 are still pending confirmation from Sony. It’s also worth mentioning that this is the single-SIM version of the handset.

Regarding the phone’s specs, Clove claims that Sony Xperia E4 will be released with Android 4.4.4 KitKat on board, but it will receive an Android 5.0 Lollipop update sometime this year.

The smartphone is available in both black and white color options and comes with a 5-inch quad HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory.

For the time being, UK is the only country where Sony Xperia E4 has been put on pre-order, but other European countries may follow soon.
