Japanese wireless carrier NTT DOCOMO might have delayed the launch of the new Sony Xperia AX handset on its network, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The smartphone was initially set to become available at the operator on November 16, and has been long listed on its website with this arrival date attached to it.

However, it seems that things might have changed, and the fact that the device is now listed there as coming in November might suggest that it has been in fact delayed.

Nothing has been officially announced on the matter for the time being, but the initial availability date is nearing fast, and all might be unveiled at that time.

The Android handset can be seen at NTT DOCOMO on this page. It was put up for pre-order almost two weeks ago, on November 1.
