An updated version of the Sony Lifelog application is now available for download, namely version 1.0.A.1.1, which appears to expand the range of handsets supported in the software.

Until now, the application was available only for the owners of Xperia handsets out there, but the new update appears to have changed that, adding support for non-Sony smartphones in the mix.

As XperiaBlog notes in a recent post, no changelog has been attached to the new app iteration, but the aforementioned expanded support for devices is undoubtedly there.

Furthermore, it appears the owners of non-Xperia phones who will download and install the application will be able to login using their Google accounts. Those with an Xperia device will need to login with their Sony Entertainment Network accounts.

In addition to this change, the new application version is also said to come with some new options in the Settings > Profile menu. Following the update, users will be able to set “Stride length” and “Running stride length” from the aforementioned menu.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Sony’s Lifelog app will provide users with information about their communications, entertainment and physical activities. The mobile app is available for download in the Google Play store.
