Sony Mobile has identified and resolved an issue that affected some of its Xperia S devices, and which involved the appearance of a yellow tint on the handsets’ screens.

Apparently, the issue was limited to a small number of Xperia S phones, and appeared only when the phone reached temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

The company has issued an official statement on the matter, and announced that all devices that show this problem will have their displays replaced with new ones.

For that to happen, however, users will have to go to the nearest support location to hand their phones.

“Any consumer observing this slight yellow tint on the display of their Xperia S is welcome to contact their local customer service centre and Sony Mobile Communications will resolve this at no cost to the consumer,” the company announced.
