Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has made available for download an updated version of the Timeshift burst application for Android devices, adding a new pinch-to-zoom functionality to it.

The mobile app is available for download as version 1.1.0.0 at the moment and offers support for all devices running under Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and higher.

As part of the new application release, users will also enjoy the option to flick and hide thumbnails (tap the screen to show again), the available release notes unveil.

Additionally, the app also comes with various bug fixes packed inside, though Sony has not offered specific info on them.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Timeshift burst application was designed to provide users with the possibility to capture 61 frames within just 2 seconds. The app actually starts shooting even before the user presses the camera key.

To enjoy the functionality, users should download and install the app, start the camera on their devices, then switch it to Timeshift burst. After pressing the camera button, users will see 61 thumbnails showing up on their screen.

Simply swipe the thumbnail images to move back and forth in the burst, while also having the option to view all frames in a burst sequence when hitting the Timeshift icon on the lower right hand side.
