14 DAY TRIAL // Next week, Sony Mobile should officially announce a new member of the Xperia family of handsets, one that was long spotted online under the codename of Honami, and which is said to bring along “something extraordinary.”
According to a recent post on XperiaBlog, the handset vendor has already sent out emails to inform users on the fact that something extraordinary is coming,” a clear reference to the aforementioned device.
“Think you know what a smartphone can do? It’s time to think again. Something new, something extraordinary is on the way from Sony. #bestofSony,” said email reads.
Sony has been teasing the new device for the last week or so in photos with the phone’s various design features and in a recently published video, and has also suggested that the handset might be called Xperia Z1, just as the previous rumors on the matter unveiled.
The new mobile phone is expected to become official on September 4 at the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin.
