14 DAY TRIAL // SEGA of America and SEGA Europe announced yesterday the original Sonic the Hedgehog was set to arrive on Android platform soon, but did not offer more details on the availability of the game.
Fortunately, Android users did not have to wait too long for SEGA’s addictive arcade game, as Sonic the Hedgehog is now up for grabs via Google Play.
According to developers, Sonic the Hedgehog is a re-mastered mobile version of the SEGA Genesis classic game, plus some exclusive features, including new playable characters and controller support (Power A Moga, Nyko, XBOX, and all HID controllers).
Sonic the Hedgehog 1.0.0 is now available for download for $2.99 / £1.99 / €2.69 / AUD$2.99 via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3 and up. Check it out here.
