14 DAY TRIAL // The Federal Communications Commission has just approved a new Android-based smartphone for use in the United States, namely the Sharp Aquos SH-10D.
The handset was announced back in May to be en-route to Japanese wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo, and those who chose to purchase it will be able to bring it with them stateside, should they desire to do so.
The mobile phone passed through FCC certification with a 1.5GHz dual-core application processor inside, along with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display and support for GSM and HSPA+ / WCDMA radios.
Moreover, it packs the 12.1-megapixel rear-facing photo snapper it was announced with right from the start, along with a front camera for making video calls.
For the time being, there’s no telling whether the handset will be launched in the US as well via various carriers or third-party retailers.
