Scribd is one of the many e-readers for Android platform that is trying to offer a complete solution to those who are looking for guides, recipers, how-to guides, spreadsheets and other documents, while on the go.

In addition, the application enables access to the latest offerings from Chronicle Books, Wiley, Random House, Harvard Press and others.

In order to access the application much easier, the latest update for Scribd adds a widget for home screen. A bug where offline mode did not work was fixed as well.

Developers also confirmed they have improved document zooming and page flipping on larger tablets.

Scribd 2.8.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
