Regional carrier SaskTel has just announced that its Visual Voice Mail service is now available for Android users, in addition to customers who use iOS smartphones.

With Visual Voice Mail (VVM) users are provided with the possibility to quickly and easily view, manage and listen to their voice mail messages directly on the smartphone.

The service is available in the form of an application that features an email-like interface. Visual Voice Mail can be used in any location that has wireless 4G coverage or Wi-Fi.

However, SaskTel customers who want to take advantage of this service will have to pay a $5 monthly fee. According to the carrier, the application is only compatible with devices running Android 2.1 and up.

Subscribers can download the Visual Voice Mail application directly from their smartphones via Android Market. This service is not available on Prepaid.
