Several days ago, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics officially confirmed plans to hold an UNPACKED event on September 3 at the IFA 2014 show in Berlin, and some more info on the company’s plans for that day is now available.

As it turns out, the handset vendor will hold the press event in three cities, namely Berlin, Beijing, and New York. Moreover, the invitations sent to press representatives hint at the fact that the next Galaxy Note smartphone will be revealed on that day.

As GSMArena notes, the invitation features a sketch of the Air Command menu, which is a Galaxy Note feature, and also prompts recipients to “Note the Date.”

It does not come as a surprise that said smartphone will be revealed on September 3, considering the large number of rumors and leaks on it, but it’s good to see some confirmation on the matter, that’s for sure.

The handset is expected to be called Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and should arrive on shelves with a Quad HD touchscreen display. According to the latest reports on the matter, the screen could be a 5.5-inch one, which means that the phone will be smaller than last year’s Galaxy Note 3.

Unfortunately, no confirmation on the phone’s hardware specs has been provided as of now, so it remains to be seen what it will have to offer in the end. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
