South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has started to send out invites for an Unpacked Event set for August 29th at the IFA trade show in Berlin.

The invitation does not offer specific info on what the event would be all about, but the stylus placed on the image suggests that we might see the successor of Galaxy Note becoming official.

The sequel has been spotted online a few times before, with model number GT-N7100 attached to it, and rumored to land on shelves as Galaxy Note 2.

If rumors are to pan out, the new device will hit the market with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display, a quad-core CPU inside (1.6GHz and Mali 400 GPU), and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The phone should prove a worthy successor for both Galaxy Note and Galaxy S III. The unveiling event will take place in Berlin starting at 7PM.
