An Ice Cream Sandwich device packing 4G LTE connectivity

Mobile phone carrier Sprint is reportedly gearing up for the release of new devices capable of connecting to its 4G LTE network, one of which should arrive from Samsung.

The device has already emerged online, featuring model number Samsung SPH-L300, and is said to run under Google’s Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The smartphone is said to arrive on shelves in the wireless carrier’s mid-level lineup, although it would sport a WVGA resolution and a five-megapixel camera capable of shooting videos in 1080p resolution.

The handset is expected to include 1GB of RAM, along with 4GB of internal memory, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 SoC, and a 1.3MP front-facing camera for making video calls.

No specific info on the release date or pricing of this mobile phone has emerged so far.
