The company made available the kernel source for both device models

One of the latest large smartphones that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has made official was the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, a smaller, downgraded version of the Galaxy Note 3, and the phone has just had its source code released on the web.

The kernel source for the device is now available for download through the Samsung Open Source Release Center, allowing developers interested in coming up with custom software for the device so start their work on the matter.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Samsung announced the new device in two different versions, one with 3G connectivity inside, featuring model number SM-N750, and another one with 4G LTE capabilities, released as model SM-N7505.

The kernel source for both devices is now available for download through the aforementioned portal, based on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. As Android Police notes, the phone might be showcased at MWC 2014 next week.
