South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has been long rumored to plan the launch of a Galaxy Note III smartphone in early September, and confirmation on the matter has already emerged.

A company’s official has unveiled that Samsung is planning the launch of this large Android smartphone on September 4 at the IFA 2013 tradeshow in Berlin, but they did not offer further info on the device.

“Samsung opened a new smart mobile device category back in 2011 with the introduction of the first Galaxy Note. […] We will introduce our customers to enhanced key features on our Galaxy Note devices,” Lee Young-hee, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business, told Korea Times.

The handset is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch or 6-inch display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor inside, 3GB of RAM, and a back camera capable of recording videos in 4K resolution.
