It appears that Samsung hasn’t dropped Windows Phone and will continue to launch devices powered by Microsoft’s mobile platform in the not so distant future.

Although Samsung ATIV was not among the most popular Windows Phone handsets available on the market, the South Korean company is determined to strengthen its presence on the Windows Phone market.

The next Windows Phone-powered smartphone to be released by Samsung is likely to go on sale at major carrier Verizon Wireless. According to @evleaks, a certain Samsung SM-W750V has been tipped for the US-based operator, though we’re not sure when the device will be announced.

The smartphone is codenamed Samsung Huron and is said to feature a similar design as one of the latest Galaxy S models.

Samsung SM-W750V leaked online a few days ago via AdDuplex. The smartphone is rumored to sport a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, which might be an indication that this is not a high-end smartphone.

According to the latest hearsay, Samsung Huron will be released at Verizon Wireless along with Nokia ICON or around the same timeframe. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
