The update is pushed OTA (over the air), in waves

After US Cellular's Galaxy Tab S 10.5 got Android 5.0 Lollipop update a few days ago, Samsung confirmed that Verizon's Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE tablet is getting the same treatment.

Software version T707VVRU1BOD4 will upgrade the slate's software to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and it will bring many new features and improvements at the same time.

If you own a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE tablet on Verizon, then you should know the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so it might take a few days until it reaches all devices.

Curiously, Samsung claims Android 5.0.2 Lollipop for Verizon Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE has been released on May 26. Still, the update might have been pushed for an initial number of owners and made available for the general public only recently.

This is the second update that Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE receives after Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which was rolled out by Samsung back in December 2014.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE has been released back in July, so it's less likely to receive another major OS upgrade like Android M. That being said, Verizon customers who own the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE should now enjoy Lollipop on their tablets.
