Samsung will make the tablet PC available through various retailers

Officially, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet PC will become available for purchase in the United States on Sunday, May 13.

In addition to confirming the release date for this device, Samsung also announced that it will become available with a price tag of $399.99 SRP (around 300 Euros) attached to it and that it will be up for acquisition via Amazon, Best Buy, hhgregg, Tiger Direct, WalMart, Office Depot and others.

Featuring a large 10.1-inch touchscreen display, the tablet PC also packs a dual-core application processor inside, and runs under Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

It arrives with support for a variety of applications available through the Google Play Store and via Samsung Apps, while also offering access to TV shows and movies via WiFi.

Users will also be able to carry around a load of files with this device, courtesy of both the included memory and of microSD memory card support.
