If we’re lucky, the Galaxy S6 will launch at CES 2015

In recent days we have been talking a lot about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S6 flagship. The rumor mill has been intensely speculating when the handset will be unveiled.

Some voices say we might even get to see Sammy roll out the product at CES 2015, others claim we will have to wait until MWC 2015 in order to see this happen.

On top of that, there’s no general consensus whether the Galaxy S6 will be a standalone device or whether it will arrive with a dual bendable display in the vein of the Galaxy Edge.

Well, according to Korean publication, Asian Economies writes that we’re going to see two variations of the Galaxy S6. But the double-edged variant will actually be sold as a Limited Edition handset.

The source mentions that just 10 million units of the Galaxy S6 Edge with an Exynos chip inside will be available for purchase throughout 2015.

This figure might seem a lot at first, but the same source estimates that Samsung will end up selling almost 45 million units Galaxy S6 handset during the same period.

Samsung has been experimenting with the atypical Galaxy Edge for a few months now and the general consensus is that the handset is a worthy one.

So it appears good old Sammy will continue to expand the Edge idea further beyond, even if that means offering the next-gen Edge as a Limited Edition. And let’s face it, 10 million units hardly qualifies as a very exclusive device.
