It looks like Samsung is trying to improve the module camera inside its flagship smartphones and we could see the Galaxy S5 coming with an improved photo snapper.

PatentBolt reports, citing a foreign report, that Samsung has already developed a brand new 13-megapixel module camera that features a built-in optical anti-shake function for smartphones.

The new anti-shake feature is said to be able to correct angular errors of up to 1.5 degrees, thus eliminating the need to use a tripod.

Furthermore, the new module can take pictures with 8X more brightness in comparison with the previous cameras inside Samsung smartphones.

Last but not least, the module camera measures 10.5 x 10.5 x 5.9 mm and has a low power consumption. According to Samsung, mass production for the new camera is expected to begin in the first half of 2014.
