More owners of Samsung Galaxy S4 devices out there can now download and install the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system update on their handsets, as US Cellular has started deploying it as well.

The update is available for download now both over-the-air and via the Samsung Kies desktop application, the wireless carrier has announced on its support website.

To grab the update OTA, users will need to go to Settings > About Device > Software updates, and hit the Check now button. In the event that the update is available, users will be able to kick the download process immediately.

Those interested in updating using Kies will need to connect their handsets to a PC with a USB cable and then fire up the application on the computer. The new firmware will appear on the Basic information tab, and users will simply have to click on the Firmware upgrade button to kick off the process.

Moreover, the OS upgrade will provide users with an updated Hangouts app, the possibility to change the default messaging app, and with wireless printing capabilities. For additional info on the update, head over to US Cellular’s support website.
