Last month, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung unveiled to the world a new flavor of its Galaxy S4 smartphone, dressed up entirely in black and packing faux leather on the back, suggestively called Galaxy S4 Black Edition. The device is now available in the UK as well.

The handset emerged over at Phones4U with a price tag of £499.89 ($830 / €599) attached to it, SIM-free and unlocked. The handset is available exclusively through this online retailer, at least for the time being, and can be bought on Pay As You Go and monthly plans as well.

Undoubtedly, this is a high price tag, especially for a smartphone that is already one-year old, even if it looks highly appealing with that leather back that it went official with.

Furthermore, as Android Central notes, Samsung is getting ready for the release of Galaxy S5 in the UK in about one month, and will have the new flagship smartphone priced anywhere between £500 and £600, so we can imagine that the Black Edition Galaxy S4 might not look that appealing anymore.

However, users interested in getting it can now do so, while expecting to enjoy all the hardware specs and capabilities that the original Galaxy S4 was made official with.
