The smaller version of Samsung Galaxy S4 Active mini has been in the works for quite some time and is expected to hit shelves by year’s end.

The folks over at GSMArena have just spotted at TENAA (Chinese regulatory commission) what appears to be the mini variant of Samsung Galaxy S4 Active mini. The device is also listed at GFXBench website under the codename Samsung GT-I8580.

The smartphone is said to pack a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, a 4.65-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit.

Other highlights of the Galaxy S4 Active mini include 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash and secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls. No word on price tag and availability yet.
