South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has been rumored lately to plan the launch of a LTE-Advanced version of the Galaxy S4 Active smartphone in its homeland market, and some more info on the matter is now available.

Courtesy of a leaked document that emerged over at DAUM, the phone is confirmed to be en route to SK Telecom, though specific info on when that might happen hasn’t emerged as of now.

The smartphone will provide users with much faster data transfer capabilities, the same as Galaxy S4 LTE-A did before it, while packing other enhanced features as well.

Galaxy S4 Active LTE-A is expected to land on shelves with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor inside, which means that it will be more powerful than the original.

The smartphone will keep the IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating that the original arrived on shelves with, as SlashGear notes.
