It is based on MIUI ROM not on the Android 4.0 source code

Although Google has yet to release Android 4.0's source code, people are anxious to see the Ice Cream Sandwich platform working on their smartphones.

In this regard, the folks over at XDA have put together some of the Ice Cream Sandwich framework from the GalnetMIUI and CM7 and cooked a MIUI Android 4.0 ROM that can be flashed onto AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S II.

Even though it is based on a customized MIUI ROM, one of the most popular Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROMs, the unofficial Android 4.0 for Galaxy S II offers Android tinkerers a bit of Ice Cream Sandwich flavor before Google comes live with the highly-anticipated source code.

The latest version of the ROM, MIUI 1.11.7 ICS V1 fixes home and search buttons problems and the Audio issue and adds Nexus Prime boot animation, as well as the ROM Manager.
