Next week, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics should make official a new handset in its popular Galaxy Note lineup, namely the long-rumored Galaxy Note III, and some new details on the smartphone are now available.

According to the latest reports on the matter, the device might hit shelves with support for 4K video recording, which translates in a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.

Furthermore, details coming from The Korea Economic Daily suggest that the mobile phone will also be able to deliver 24-bit/192KHz music playback.

With Ultra HD 4K TVs expected to become the next big thing out there, 4K video recording capabilities could easily prove a great option for all users, that’s for sure.

However, as SamMobile notes, the screen and storage capabilities of smartphones might turn out to be too small for the feature.
