South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has made official a new smartphone in India, in the form of Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, which is already available for pre-order in the country.

The handset has been priced at Rs. 29,999 ($504/€368) and will be released in India in partnership with Amazon.in, which will have exclusivity on the device in India.

As mentioned above, users can already reserve the Galaxy K Zoom in India, while expecting it to arrive in their hands on July 9. Those who will pre-order the phone will also have the chance to win Rs. 6,000 ($101/€74) of free gifts.

The mobile phone was made official back in April with a 4.8-inch 720p touchscreen display, while being powered by a hexa-core Exynos chipset, which includes a dual-core Cortex-A15 CPU and a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor.

The new smartphone also comes with 2GB of RAM, as well as with 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. Moreover, it sports 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS receiver, along with the usual set of sensors.

On the back, Galaxy K Zoom packs a 20.7-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom, which is paired with a 2.1MP front camera for making video calls while on the go. The handset runs under Android 4.4 KitKat, while also featuring Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI loaded on top.
