The unusual Galaxy Beam manufactured by Samsung has just made its debut in Australia. Android fans who need a smartphone capable of projecting all kinds of contents virtually anywhere can now grab the Galaxy Beam via Dick Smith retailer.

The Australian authorized seller is offering the smartphone for $585 AUD ($610 USD or €495) outright, which seems a bit steep for a Gingerbread device.

However, the phone’s main selling point is the built-in nHD projector, so those who really need this feature won’t be stopped by the Galaxy Beam’s high price. Check it out here.

The smartphone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and embeds a NovaThor U8500 chipset that packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, which is complemented by 768MB of RAM and a Mali-400 GPU.
