South Korean handset maker Samsung recently confirmed it would bring the Ativ S Windows Phone 8 device in South Africa.

Although the company declined to offer more details on the upcoming availability of the phone, MyBroadband reports a Vodacom official stated the carrier would range the Ativ S. The smartphone will be launched on the market by the end of November.

For the time being, Vodacom is the only operator that confirmed it would offer the Samsung Ativ S in South Africa, but others may decide to come forward with official statements.

The Ativ S is Samsung's next-generation Windows Phone flagship smartphone and comes with a superb 4.8-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels resolution). It packs a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and 1GB of RAM.
