Sonic Dash, SEGA’s endless runner that’s been popular among Android and iOS users, has just been ported to Windows Phone mobile platform.

As expected, Windows Phone users had to wait several months in order to get the mobile games, which is available on other OSes for quite some time.

The good news is Sonic Dash doesn’t cost a dime, though you might be tempted to buy some upgrades and power-ups with real-life money.

Even though developers don’t mention it, there’s a high chance that Sonic Dash comes with the same number of levels included in the Android and iOS versions.

On top of that, SEGA promised that it would work hard to bring Windows Phone users future free updates. These updates are expected to arrive monthly, but the information hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Sonic Dash is an endless runner where players take control of Sonic the Hedgehog and utilize its power to avoid obstacles, jump over barriers and speed around them.

Each level is sprinkled with enemies, which must be defeated using Sonic’s homing attacks. The game also offers players the option to choose to play with other characters, such as Knuckles, Shadow and Tails.

You can now download Sonic Dash for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The game has been confirmed to work on all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
