Both Canadian carriers Rogers and Fido plan to introduce a new voicemail service that allows subscribers to receive audio or text messages in their voicemail inbox.

The folks over at MobileSyrup have just got their hands on an internal document that confirms Rogers and Fido will debut a “Visual Voicemail Plus” service soon.

According to this document, the first devices supported will be Rogers’ BlackBerry Bold 9700, Torch 9800, Sony Ericsson X10 and Samsung Galaxy Q, as well as Fido’s BlackBerry Curve 9360 and the Samsung Galaxy Q.

However, support for more BlackBerry and Android devices will be added next month starting with BlackBerry Curve 9300 on March 9, Samsung Galaxy S II LTE on March 13, and BlackBerry Bold 9780 on March 16.

The “Visual Voicemail Plus” service is available for $9 per month or included as an add-on in Value Packs.
