Namco Bandai has confirmed that the game will be released in the App Store as well

One of the older racing car games, Ridge Racer is about to make its debut on Android platforms. Namco Bandai has just confirmed that Ridge Racer: Slipstream is on track for a December release on Google Play Store.

iOS fans should not be worried, as developers have confirmed that the game will be published on App Store as well. Ridge Racer: Slipstream will feature a brand new engine specifically developed for Android and iOS devices.

It comes with a handful of gaming modes, challenging tracks and races, as well as lots of customization options. Aside from the Career Mode, players will be able to choose three different race types in Arcade Mode (Regular / Quick / Knockout Races).

There will be 108 different racing competitions across 6 Grand Prix Series, along with 20 unique racing tracks. According to Namco, Ridge Racer: Slipstream game will be available for download via Google Play Store from December 19.
