Although it did not make official announcements on the matter at the MWC in Barcelona, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is gearing up for the release of new Android-based mobile phones.

Two of them have already been rumored to be headed for its network, namely LG Cayman and DROID Fighter, and some more info on their release dates has just made it online.

A leaked document from the wireless carrier, which was spotted on Droid-Life, confirms that the two handsets will be released on March 29th and April 12th, respectively.

Moreover, the news site claims that LG’s smartphone will be released on shelves as the Lucid 4G.

Unfortunately, no specific details on the DROID Fighter have emerged for the time being. However, it is expected to be manufactured by Taiwanese handset vendor HTC Corporation.
