Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is offering a series of free applications to the owners of devices running under its BlackBerry 7 OS.

The company is running a mini campaign to attract more users to its platform, and has 17 applications available for them for free until May 31st. However, it seems that the deal is available only for the United States.

The promotion includes both applications and games, many of which will certainly seem very appealing to users.

The list reportedly includes: Aces 3D Pool, Aces Traffic Pack, Asphalt 6 Adrenaline HD, BeWeather, Color ID, Cribbage, Easy Smiley Pack Pro, Endomondo Sports Tracker PRO, Fixmo Tools, iSpeech Caller ID Reader Pro, Mahjong Solitaire, Modern Combat 2 Black Pegasus HD, Next Dual Pack, PBA Bowling 2, Pinball Deluxe, Popup, Rubik’s Cube, and Screen Muncher.

Those BlackBerry users in the US who would like to try the said apps should head over to the BlackBerry App World in the "Compliments of BlackBerry" section. A new area might be set up for these apps soon.
