A new version of the popular benchmarking tool Quadrant is available for download for devices running under Google’s Android operating system.

The new application flavor brings along a series of great enhancements compared to the previous version, such as support for multicore application processors and for the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform.

Moreover, the new software release comes with a series of GUI improvements, as well as with Polish translation and some fixes related to the low framerate on PowerVR SGX 540.

“Due to changes implemented to support new devices this version of Quadrant reports scores different from 1.x releases. The result browser will be restored in the next update, when new benchmark results are available,” the development team notes.

The new application release is available for download via the Android Market.
