Owners of Windows Phone 8 devices can now download the PuTTY Telnet and SSH client for their handsets, as it has debuted in the Windows Phone Store in a beta flavor.

The mobile client was launched with the same features and capabilities that the desktop application was released with, but it has been optimized for use on smartphones.

“This is the same version of Putty you've come to know and love built for Windows Phone with a new user interface,” the application’s description reads.

PuTTY for Windows Phone was made available for free, but those interested in grabbing it should keep in mind that it is not a final version, and that various issues might appear while using it.

Provided that they do emerge, the app’s developers encourage users to send feedback to them, so that such problems are resolved. You can find PuTTY 0.3.1.1 Beta for Windows Phone 8 on Softpedia today.
